Welcome to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix group at SpeedTV!
LOOK FOR THE 2011 POSTER HERE SOON!
We’ve been racing since 1983 past victorian parks, architecture and museums ON CITY STREETS that feature some of the very best white knuckle off-camber turns brushing stone walls in s-bends downhill. It’s as opulent a venue as the racercars on the track screeching through the turns.
If you’ve ever wondered what racing was like when your grandparents watched it then this is the event for you! No traction control. No computer chips. It’s all about intestinal fortitude. When you hear driver’s say "I drove in the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix" it’s with the same verve as someone who climbed Everest: "I did it!". You know you’ve seen something special.
Oh, and then there’s the car shows! You want to see muscle cars? You want to see over 500 British cars? A Jaguar Concours? An Italian courtyard "Cortile"? What about Mercedes? BMW? Mini? Porshe? Motorcycles? Then put on your hiking shoes and be prepared to walk 18 holes of golf course to see over 2000 cars o html_removed n display!
Oh, and admission is FREE to the public! We would of course like you to make a donation since this is, afterall, a charity event.
For those who have visited us or raced here please feel free to post some pictures, video, or leave some comments and be sure to visit the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix website for tons more detail on our 10 day celebration of motorsports and automotive history
